If you would like to place an order for one of our greatly reduced sale bikes using the Cyclescheme we need to apply an admin fee
We have to do this because Cyclescheme and Bike2work.co.uk are independent companies acting as a middle man between your employer and us, for providing this service to you they take a commission fee of 10% from your voucher value when we redeem it
This ultimately means that if you have a voucher for £1000, we only receive £900 when they pay us
If a sale bike is ordered, we cannot afford to offer our regular discounted price and absorb this additional fee that Cyclescheme and Bike2work.co.uk charge as we would simply lose money
Naturally we are happy to still sell sale items on this scheme as long as our additional costs are covered, to get around this, when we send you your quotation form via e-mail your items will be 'grossed up' by 11% - an example of how the fee is applied is shown below
You place an order for a cycle currently on sale reduced from £800 to £500
We need to add 11% to this figure (£55) Taking your new total price to £555 - This is the price that will be shown on your quotation and the amount you need to apply for on your voucher
Cyclescheme / Bike2work.co.uk take 10% from this new total price of £555 as their commission fee
This means Cyclescheme / Bike2work.co.uk actually pay us £500 when we redeem your voucher, all their costs are covered and we receive our normal everyday sale price
It is important to note that Pauls Cycles do not make any extra money on the purchase, the extra fee simply covers the commssion fee that Cyclescheme / Bike2work.co.uk take from us on every purchase that is made through them, both Cyclescheme and Bike2work.co.uk are fully aware that we apply this fee when purchasing sale items and are perfectly happy with how it is applied
Please also note that if purchasing a bike at the full RRP, then no admin fee will be applied, as the cycle is not discounted in any way we can absorb the 10% fee charged to usBikes over £1000
The maximum that we can quote for is usually £1000 (unless your company has a consumer credit license) and on a sale bike purchase, this would give you a credit of £900
We are more than happy to accept 'top up' payments from you if the cycle you want to buy is over the £1000 limit but you should ensure that your employer is happy for you to do this as should you leave your current employment there could be a conflict of ownership
Your top up payment is not subject to any additional charges, the commission fee is only taken from the face value of your voucherHow do I place an order for my Cyclescheme bike?
